Jan-Feb 2025 Update
February 28, 2025
New year, new improvements! The latest Presto Assistant update brings enhancements to financial management, ClassLink SSO integration, document uploads, inventory tracking, and more. Read on for the details!
TMEA and The Midwest Clinic were a blast! We loved meeting so many of you in person and hearing your feedback. We’re excited to share the latest updates with you.
ClassLink SSO Integration
District Administrators in Presto Assistant can enable ClassLink SSO. This will make it required for teachers and administrators to use ClassLink SSO to sign in to Presto Assistant.
NOTE: if you have any non-employee directors, they will be locked out of Presto Assistant if you enable this setting. You can switch those directors to parents in Presto.
Talk to your district’s Technology department about adding Presto Assistant to your ClassLink Launchpad!
Document Hub Has Landed!
The first area in Presto to hook into the Document Hub is the Inventory Repair page. More areas will be added in the future.
You now have the perfect place to upload your inventory repair receipts!
Inventory & Uniform Management
- Directors can now generate uniform checkout reports, showing student names and uniform categories.
- We added this report because of a very detailed description from a director at The Midwest Clinic. We love hearing your ideas!
- We introduced a dedicated inventory repair details page for better tracking. This is where the Document Hub lives for inventory repair data.
Finances & Payments
- Financial statements now have a QR code and link if you have online payments enabled and connected to a Financial Account. This will bring the parent to the “New Payment” page in Presto Assistant. It’s easier than ever for parents to pay fees directly.
- Some districts have their own payment system besides our built-in Stripe or RevTrak systems. We now allow you to link an external payment provider to Presto Assistant, which will show on the QR code and link parents see on their financial statements.
- More direct feedback from a Texas orchestra director at TMEA. Keep it coming, folks!
- You can now apply all available Financial Credits with the press of one button. It’s true!
The “Apply Credits” button on the Financial Overview page will apply all available credits starting with the fees that have the highest balance. This is a great way to quickly apply credits to fees that are due.
- The Financial Items table has clearer column names, more feedback from a director!
- New names: Paid, Waived, Removed, Remaining
Other financial odds & ends:
- The Financial Fees table shows “Amount Paid”.
- On the Financial Payments table, we added a new column “Date Refunded”.
Support and Experience Improvements
- You might have noticed the purple widget in the bottom right corner when you sign in. That’s our HelpScout Beacon, allowing users to chat with support directly from the Presto web app if our team is available. You can easily send an email directly from the Beacon widget, too.
- Dark mode friends: we made the role count on the Dashboard easier to read. It was bothering us, too. 😅
